Genita Petralli: 2010 Recipient of the Prestigious
Citizens Commission on Human Rights award

Genita Petralli H.H.P., N.C., M.H., the Medical Director of Shangri La BioSpa & Green Mental Health Care Center, received the 2010 prestigious Citizens Commission on Human Rights award.

This award is given only to a select few individuals each year. Here is her speech from the awards ceremony held in Los Angeles, California on February 27, 2010:It is with deep gratitude that I accept this award from CCHR - and I thank you for the countless lives you have saved through your passion and dedication to such a noble cause.

Not one of us should have to settle for what psychiatry is offering -- misinformation, false labels and lethal drugs which do nothing -- but destroy the body and mind. Our children deserve better. Our friends and family deserve better.Humanity deserves better. The unholy alliance between the pharmaceutical and psychiatric industries presents apseudo medical model that inflicts additive, chemical abuse on millions of innocentvictims under the guise of medicine.

Well isn't time we said, “ENOUGH” ?

Isn't it time we started demanding that our governments stop funding thispseudoscience, this grim fairy tale called psychiatry?Just examine their statistics -- billions of dollars in funding yet they have no cures, no successes. Only victims. It is time for a new model of mental health care to emerge -- one with respect for the body and the mind and compassion for those in distress.

One that treats patients with respect and with dignity. One that has proven success, one that actually cures. That model...is Green Mental Health Care.We need to spread the word. There is a non -toxic, non-invasive and non-addictivesolution for mental health issues. And we must -- all of us -- REFUSE to settle for less.

You are all healers and you are all heroes.

Thank you,
